Taskspace Inbox return top N

Hi experts,

is there anyway to return specific result for example top 50 of task in taskspace inbox?

I prefer without any customization but if it's not possible than the customization would be fine too..

We were getting a lot of performance issue due to 1 person could have more than 20,000 task in their inbox within just one week so we planned to just show the top 50 since the task tab is really slow when the user opened it..

Instead of assign the task to that person, why dont you use queues? This way the person will only see items that he/she pulls from the queue (via Get Next Task button). This is supported out of the box with no customization required.

thanks a lot for the reply..

Actually I already informed my customer about this workqueue feature but apparently they didn't like the solution because the user will need to pull the task from the queue which means that if the user don't pull, they will not have a job to do..

They prefer to have the task list shown for the user so that user know that they have a 'work' to do..

So I need to find another solution besides workqueue.. and still don't find any until now..

You can force get next task by customizing the preferences - so that there is always a next task for them to do.

Alternatively, you can build a task list form and filter out tasks that are appropriate for your user.

What seems confusing to me is why would you assign 20,000 tasks to a person (or is this single person in a group)?

it's actually single person in a group not a single user..

I also check all the filter that was provided by taskspace tasklist and it seems that there are no filter that could actually fulfill my requirement..

It seems the only way is to customize the task which I was planning to do now..
