xCP: Email Inbound Initiate

Hi,

I am working on D6.7 xCP platform. We have a process which is initiated thru emails. I am using Email Inbound Initiate Actvity template to achieve the same. This is working fine also. One additional requirement from the end customer is that.

The mails which will be send to Initiate the Workflow will have other mails (in .msg format) attached as email attachments. Within the attached mails, they do have other PDF's & .DOC files attached. Its a kind of attachment within an attachment (Inception style )

When we do the Mapping in the Email Inbound Initiate, Is there any option to read and map attachments within attachments.

I am afraid you may need to write custom activity for this as there is no OOTB facility to read attachments inside msg files.

Even to write a custom code, once the email is recieved by workflow (Email Inbound Initiate activity), I am losing the attachment witihin the attachement. So do you mean to say I have to write a custom code outside the Workflow system itself.

Yes, since the msg format is Outlook format, you will need to parse the file and extract the attachment using custom code. I would search on MSDN to see if there is code/libraries to do this.
