Java Methods in Documentum

hi all,

can any one help me in "How to deploy java methods in documentum"

when i deploy methos i got below error

/$DCTM_HOME/dba/java_methods - is the normal directory for deploying java methods.

If you want the method to be executed by the Method server, then you have to deploy it in that directory. Otherwise if it will be run as method ( by content server), then the class file should be resided in the class path of that Content Server machine.

In case of Java Method server execution, you have to stop the method server , deploy the class/jar file and restart it.

we are using java method server to execute our methods,

We have deployed our .class file in the below location

/$DCTM_HOME/dba/java_methods

We have restarted the java method server after deploying, but still we are getting above mentioned problem............

We are attaching our java class for my method.

Dont't you have a package declaration?

I you have, are you putting your class file inside the package folder structure?

Hi,

As a matter of fact, the deployment directly to the CS isn't the recommended way to deploy methods, and hasn't been for quite some time.

If you implement IDfMethod instead of IDmMethod, and IDfModule in addition, you can deploy you method class as a module through BOF deployment, which doesn't required a restart of the JMS.
