Adapters problem

hi all,

can any one help me in below senario:

i have one custom type with below fields

employee: employee_id

employee_name

employee_add

i have a requirement, i.e

in one form there is a dropdown list and it contains employee_id values. When i select one employee_id from list the corspondence employee_name will display in testbox.

for this, i wrote on adapter with this below query

select ts_employee_id,ts_employee_fname from ts_tsm_employee where ts_employee_id='(/${ts_employee_id})'

but i am not getting values.

if any one have idea let me know please......

change your dql like below

select ts_employee_id,ts_employee_fname from ts_tsm_employee where ts_employee_id = $'{ts_employee_id}'

neither your query nor Arun's query is correct.

select ts_employee_id,ts_employee_fname from ts_tsm_employee where ts_employee_id='${ts_employee_id}'

the quotes should be placed like this around the parameter,

'${ts_employee_id}'

can u please observe the above screen...

as we discussused before senario is working for the project id and corspoding name .

but i tried to apply the same senario for employee id, it showing the above error.

Hi,

Change query like that

where ts_employee_id='${ts_employee_id}'select

Go Output Type.select 'Output type' from dropdown list,<add group> ts_tsm_employee(string)

and <add item> ts_employee_fname(string)

Then go Data tab of 'Employee Name' select adaptor ,input binding (it must be the binding of Employee id),Row,Display,Value

i have tried as per instractions suggested by you. But still we are not able to resovle the issue.

we got the following error shown below

select ts_employee_fname from ts_tsm_employee where ts_employee_id='int110116',";

in the above query after the employee id,we are getting a comma as shown above we don't know where exactly it is coming from.

please could you help us to resolve the below issue.

Hi,

Post the screenshots of your Employee Id adaptor configuration

Create new adaptor for Employee Id

dql - select r_object_id from ts_tsm_employee
Output type Group - ts_tsm_employee(string) Item - r_object_id(string)

Go Data tab of employee id textfield select this adaptor,display,row,and value

Then create adaptor for Employee Name

dql - select ts_employee_fname from ts_tsm_employee where r_object_id='${r_object_id}'

In Data & Storage tab of Employee Name select adaptor as showen above ,but select input binding too

If it work then the problem is with your employee id

it must be ts_employee_fname not object_name.

By mistake I send that screenshot, but the itemname with which I tried is 'ts_employee_fname' only.

But still, I am not able to get the expected result.

Ok Imran,

actualy employee_id also populated using adaptor.for that i mentioned adaptor in both special and datastorage tabs.

may be above resion it didn't come.

now, what i do is i mentioned employee_id population adaptor written in datastorage tab only.
