Start Workflow by submitting a form

Can any one help me, how to start a workflow by submitting a form.

My requirement is like I have a form with 4 buttons Submit, Save, Reset, Cancel. When I click on Submit button a workflow should automatically start with the form instance attached to it.

My requirement is that In my process, I have to generate a unique number and update that number value to that forminstance object.

And my problem is, even when I click on save button also the workflow is getting started and form instance is not attaching to it.

I have used Document Processor Adaptor to start a workflow automatically. Is this the right way to use DOcument Processors adaptors ?

If not please suggest me some other way to do this...

This is not a right way to start workflow (I have used Document Processor Adaptor to start a workflow automatically. Is this the right way to use DOcument Processors adaptors ?)

because each and every time when u click on save and submit button the DocumentProcessor adaptor is called..

so the best way is use cutom button to start workflow from xform or either use invoke button which will call process intiation form (make those button name as Submit hide orignal submit button )
