How to create a log file for content server

Hi! The log file that I had for the content server doesn´t work anymore, and I don´t know why... Obviously I need a way to view the trace lines of the content server, what should I do? Is it any place where I have to make reference to this file (I mean a ".properties" or something similar)? or should I create a new log file??if so, how can I do this? Thanks in advance!

Which log file you are talking about?

For Server.log you can check jboss-log4j.xml.

path is <Installation Dir

>\Documentum\jboss4.3.0\server\DctmServer_MethodServer\conf.

You can change server.log to custom_server.log

   <appender name="FILE" class="org.jboss.logging.appender.DailyRollingFileAppender">

      <errorHandler class="org.jboss.logging.util.OnlyOnceErrorHandler"/>

      <param name="File" value="${jboss.server.log.dir}/custom_server.log"/>

<param name="Threshold" value="WARN"/>

      <param name="Append" value="false"/>
