dctmJDBC.log very large

Hi,

We have DA/Webtop/DRS deployed in a Tomcat. I've just discovered that dctmJDBC.log is very very large (13GB). I need to know where is the .properties file where dctmJDBC.log configuration is.

In all Documentum webapps exist a file named dmjdbc.properties (example: \Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 6.0\webapps\da\WEB-INF\classes\dmjdbc.properties) but it is impossible that configuration of these properties file be the same of the large dctmJDBC.log. For example, in dctmJDBC.log are DEBUG traces and the .properties files are only for WARN and ERROR traces.

Where is the dctmJDBC.log configuration file?

On your app server, you should have an application called drs_cr. Check this apps WEB-INF/classes/dmjdbc.properties file for documentum.jdbc.logFileName

Hi Matt,

Yes, i know there is a dmjdbc.properties, but this file is also in DA, DAM and Webtop applications in WEB-INF/classes directories.

Also, this properties file defines a WARN log level and a maximum size 1048576 Bytes, but we have DEBUG traces and 13 GB log file... so, either the log is ignoring the properties file or there is another properties file anywhere...

I need to reconfigure this behaviour because in less than one year the log will duplicate its size, and the server has not enough disk space.

I would first try to just restart all the applications, ensuring that java is not running in the background after the shutdown. If that does not work, then try a find on the local drives for dmjdbc.properties. If that does not reveal any new, then try to grep for any file that contains dctmJDBC.log.
