Documentum 6.0 vs 6.6 - Import issue

Hi Guys,

We are having two applications i can say App1 and App2. App1 has been upgraded to D6.6 (from D6.0) few months past and working fine now. However initially when App1 went to production we face issues with import / check-in / checkout and after installing the right JRE (1.6.0.16) its running fine.

Currently App2 has been upgrded to D6.6 (from D6.0) and went to PROD few days past. Now i'm facing same issue with import / check-in / checkout for App2.

In short in my machine i can able to import the files using App1 but unable to import using App2 (no errors - screen went to blank, which i faced in App1 before JRE upgrade).

So, do we need to re-install the JRE again ? or is it an known issue with 6.6 ?

Any help is much appreciated.

I would upgrade to JRE 1.6.0_27. This is the latest version of Java that EMC has certified to run against all of the web apps.

Hi Johnny,

I agree with you that we have to use JRE 1.6.0_27.

Howevaer since both the applications App1 and App2 are D6.6 and i can able to sucessfully import in App1 but unable to import in App2. If i can able to import in App1 why not in App2 ? can you throw some light what is happening in the background. We are really confused with this behaviour.

Hi Raj,

What is the Documentum product you are using? If UCF is involved in the content import/checkin, you have to check UCF logs, <user profile>/Documentum/logs/ucf.client.****.log. If there is a web/app server, you may also be able to find helpful info from server logs.

I'm using the following products,

Content Server 6.0

WebTop 6.6

Tomcat 6.0

More i'm uanble to get any useful information from the ucf logs.
