Hi all,

we are using Forms Builder 6.6,

we create a form as shown bellow.

in the above form ELIGIBLE LEAVES and AVAILABLE LEAVES are TextField's. We gave the default values to the TextField's

My requirement is if any one apply for a leave based on the LEAVE TYPE the AVAILABLE LEAVES should be updated if the leave is approved.

Please help me out.

How is "approving" leave going to be triggered? I dont see a button anywhere. Are you going to be using this form in a workflow? If so, then you can use Process Data Mapper Activity to update form values.

Hi Johnny,

Apply For Leave is a suparate tab as shown in the figure.

when ever the user loged in to the application, we shows the default tab as

leave Summary after looking that he have an idea about thair leaves and he goes to Apply For leave tab and fill the proper details and click submit button at that point the form will attached to the work flow,we are usiung the process data mapping to filter the data. after that the form goes to the manager after that as per thair requirement manager approve or rejected the leave.

my question is how to update the available leaves on Leave Summary tab when the leave is approved.

As I said in my previous post, you can use Process Data Mapper to update values in the form. You just have include the form as part of the package, which it sounds like you already doing.

If you attach the form as the package to the workflow, you can access the object attributes attributes from the Process Data Mapper activity. I think you should go read up on the Process Data Mapper activity in Process Builder configuration guide.

Hi Sampath,

You have mentioned that leave summary tab is to show the leave summary of each individuals.

For this don't give default values in the forms. Have these details in a separate table in database.Fetch these leave detail data from database using Adaptors and display in the leave summary tab.

If user apply for leave and if it get approved then have a update query activity in your workflow and update the leave details in the database. So the next time user logs in and open the tab the leave details will populated by the adaptors.
