Task form not working

Hi Experts,

After moving one processes from dev to production one prosess is not working.The install prcess was successfull ne warning exception or error.

But now I have found out that when I fill some data into a task form for one of our processes the data is not saved and lost.Don't know what is the problem.

Do you know what would be the reason, I have even added a test activity to the process create a new form submit it and the same results, all the data in process variables lost.

Need your help.

Make sure that your user has correct permissions on the forms and workflows. Permissions are not explicitly carried through when you migrate them from one repository to another.

Johnny, yes you are right the permissions did not move to this environment however then i granted dm_world relate permission on all workflows including this one.So this is not the case, all other workflows are working except this.

It is very strange there are no other problems in this process don't know why the data gets lost,

by the way I had created the process template in 6.6 environment and now I have installed it into 6.7 sp 1. Can this be the issue?

Not sure. Have you tried Process Debugger in new environment?

yes, everything else working, just this is the problem.Unfortunately this is one of the most complex workflows in our environment so I really don't want to build it again.

Try saving existing one as new copy and see if the newly copied one exhibits the same behavior.

Hello Imran,

It appers we have a similar issue in our environment with a specific task form. The task form works on our develoment and test environment but not in our UAT environment. Also sometimes the form saves the value and sometimes it doesn't which makes it even harder to trace. Have you found out in the end what this was?

Yes, I spent days on it pulling my hairs and the problem occurred while holiday and I could not request support as well.If I am not wrong the problem occurred in 6.7 sp1 when stateess process engine was introduced for the first time. I found out that it is working fine for several other activities and the only difference between them and this one was that,some of the packages were not visible.The solution was quite funny. Uninstall the process template, make all packages and process variables visible for the manual task. That should work. And also there is a fix available in one of the patches introduced after 6.7 sp 1. Please check their documentation.
