How to set default value from dropdown for Webtop advance search through config file only

Hello All,

I have requirement to set default value for advance search Criteria controls on Advance search component. I do not want to customize whole component or behaviour class.. but can it possible through component XML / JSP only.

Any suggestion ....

To set the default values for attributes,In advsearchex.jsp dmfxs:searchattributegroup tag contains defaultattribute="r_object_id" attribute by which u can set the default values.

and to set default type, in advsearchex_component.xml in includetypes tag specify type="object type" which will be the default value for type...

Setting a common default attribute for all search types can be done as you have suggested . But different default attributes for different search types, is that possible through configuration or xml change ?

You can do it by specifying scope in component and calling different jsp pages according to the type setting the default value for the particular type.
