High Fidelity form not getting instantiated

Hi all,

I am using a process initiate template in which the user fills the form and submits it. I have attached a high fidelity(HF) form as a package in the process.

Initially i used a process data mapping activity to instantiate the HF form. But the control in the forms were not getting populated with values entered by the user.

Then i tried to do the same through workflow method. Instantiating the form through custom method gives the following error.

[DM_API_E_BADATTRNAME]error: "Bad attribute name 'addressee' for document/object.";

here addressee is the name given to one of the text fields in the form. Still the values are not displayed in the HF form.

Is it possible to initiate high fidelity form,since it is not a e-form, through any of the above ways?

If it is, then please if anyone could tell me where am i going wrong..

Have you run your data dictionary job and restarted your app server? Also, restart forms builder. I notice that type information sometimes gets cached with developer tools.

Thanks for the reply.

The user will use the process initiate template may times in the real world. This template acts as a request form in the user's working environment.So is the data dictionary job required to run each time??

Also, please suggest an alternative approach,if any, to the one above.

No. Data dictionary job only needs to be execute when you change object type definition. Your error:

"Bad attribute name 'addressee' for document/object.";

happens when the client cache (in this case the web app cache) is referencing old version of your type definition that does not have this attribute defined. This specific error should go away by following the steps I initially posted.

I published the data dictionary job.Also restarted the app server.Still the controls in the high fidelity form have no values in them.

Here is the code to instantiate the high fidelity form:

formObj.setString(<control name in the form>,<value to be set>);

Using the same code, i have instantiated electronic form wihtout any errors..Can the same code be used for high fidelity forms??

I'm not sure; I havent tried what you are doing before. What I would do is enable dfc/wdk tracing and trace what methods are called when you try to manually launch high-fidelity form.
