how actions in menubar enable according to "content" frame component ?

Hi Experts,

when we use menubar it automatically changes its content based on the component in the content frame so first i want to ask how it do it(logic, events or whatever) because i want to create a customised group component in which i will have 2 frames one will be content frame in which grouplist component will be launched and second will be another frame which will have 2 buttons addmembers and removemembers...............my task is how this action button will automatically enable or disable according to the selection in content frame...............

can any one help me in this context..

Hi,

Menubar component is 'context based' means it shows/hides menu items based on the results in a grid. There are 4 types of configurations for a menu item,

1) generic - show at all times - irrespective of select/unselect items in grid

2) genericnoselect - show at the time if no item is selected in the grid

3) singleselect - show when a single item is selected in the grid

4) multiselect - show when multiple items are selected in the grid

I do not understand your requirement, do you want to diplay the groups in the repository using grouplist component and while selecting a group need 'Add Group' and 'Remove Group' menu items? please clarify

My functionality is working file coz I have added menubar component but I don’t want to use menubar instead of it I want to have 2 buttons in the frame add and remove……… but since menubar automatically enable or disable menu based on selections so how we can achieve this functionality for buttons(action buttons)….means when we select user it should enable remove button and when we do not select anything it should enable add button .

In summary interframing communication for actions in different frame for content………….

Hi,

You can create 2 actions and 2 pre-conditions for Add/Remove functionality. And create 2 action buttons and keep it with the datagrid referring the 2 custom actions.

Create a Dialog Container adding the action buttons and grid inside it.
