Link one document/file/asset with another in same folder

We are having a requirement where we load person(s)'s photo and signature as separate image assets. We want to be able to link signature with image file in which that person's photo will be. One people image file can consists of multiple persons posing in that photo.

To achieve above we decided to add a new attribute "Link" which will show a combo box of other assets of people photo kind in that same folder so that user uploading signature can select appropriate photo and link them together.

Please suggest if there can be any better solution. Also what DQL and where in the properties of that attribute I can put to be able to populate the combo box.

I am using "Documentum Application Builder" version 5.3 SP6.5

If you are using Webtop, you dont have to create custom attribute. You can just add a relationship - see Webtop user manual.

Thanks Johnny. Couple of follow-up questions...

Q. Does this relationship get published out in SCS Database by publish jobs? if so, which tables? Any documentation I can go through for this?

Q. If xPression is directly pulling these image assets from documentum then can xPression also read-process that relationship?

I have been able to make some progress on this. Created the relation and then in IDS Configuration as well as Job Configuration set the attribute export_relations TRUE. That created <propdb>_L table in SCS database having relationship details.
