Taskspace not working

Hi!

I've been configuring the smart navigation panel of the advanced search in taskspace. To do this, I have created a copy of the clusterstrategies_config.xml located in wdk/config called clusterstrategies_modification.xml, and I have located it in custom/config. The problem is that it may be an error in any of the changes I have inserted in clusterstrategies_modification.xml becasue when I try to see the result of the mentioned changes, http 404 error is shown. After a lot of diferent tries, I have decided to delete clusterstrategies_modification.xml file from it's folder so as to let everything as it was by default. But the error continues been shown in the browser. I have restarted jboss, cleaned the browser navigation data, cleaned the recent items of the computer and even restarted the computer but nothing works...any idea of what can be happening??

Hello,

Without the log files it is hard to say exactly what is going wrong, but since you have played around with the xml configuration files I would guess that the TaskSpace web application doesn't startup properly due to a configuration error.

I suggest you consult the log files, if it is indeed a configuration problem you should see an error message in the log file for TaskSpace, name and location of the log file(s) depends on your configurations in WEB-INF/classes/log4j.properties.

Looks like DFC cannot find the keystore file because you are using a unix path on a windows installation...

But let's verify, can you copy and paste the contents of this file into a reply.

You are right, it has a unix path, but in fact the docbroker (as the content server does) is located in a unix system, and if the cause was it, the taskspace wouldn't have worked ever before, but this is not the case. Furthermore I have never changed neither the content of dfc.properties file nor the dfc.keystore...

Well, something has obviously changed :-)

But your appserver is on windows, so, either dfc.properties has changed or such a path gets resolved as a relative path which means that you have deleted something when you cleaned up your configurations...

We'll never know, but at least you should be able to fix the issue now right?

I have checked all the ‘*.xml’,’ * .properties’, ‘* .keystore’ and ‘ clusterstarategies_*’ files contained in taskspace.war folder and none of them has the modification date of today…. To be honest, I haven’t got more ideas of what would have changed. The only thing I have cleaned up is the jboss.web folder of jboss, the browser navigation data and the clusterstrategies_modifications.xml which did not exist by default. What else would you check?

Try deleting web app cache on your app server. If that doesnt work, I would download the original WAR file from Powerlink and make the appropriate dfc.properties changes. That should get you back to square one.
