DFS QueryService convert boolean attribute to NumberProperty

Hi there,

When running DQL query against QueryService, an attribute of type Bool is always returned as a NumberProperty in result's DataObjects.

Is there a way to configure (via OperationOption, Profile or something else) the QueryService so that this kind of attribute are returned as BooleanAttribute ?

FYI : Running DFS 6.6 over Content Server 6.5SP2.

Can you post the code snippet that you are using to fetch the value? I am able to make of the statement to fetch the attribute value as object and type cast it to Boolean.

Boolean myVal = (Boolean)myDataObject.getProperties().get("<boolean_attribute>").getValueAsObject();

Hello, (I'm now using my own account, not the one of my boss;-)

Your solution is correct when you know by advance the attribute name. In my case I provide to other developer of my bank a high level DotNet API to hide Documentum (they don't need to know how Documentum works or even know it's Documentum that we use as ECM).

So I don't know neither attribute name or attribute type before I query for documents.

But I found (or rather understand) why I encounter this defect. It's due to the underlying database which doesn't boolean type.

So i've work around this issue by providing a way to the end user to optionally specify how he would cast attribute type.
