New Attributes created in AppBuilder do NOT show up in DAM

We are trying to add new custom attributes to our object types in Documentum v6.5. To do it we followed these simple steps:

1. Right click on root node of left navigation tree and then Check out DocApp

2. Select the object type which needs new attribute and then "Insert -> Attribute"

3. Made changes to new attribute.

4. Right click on root node of left navigation tree and then Check in DocApp

Problem:

After following above steps and adding a new attribute, that attribute does NOT show-up for that object type in DAM (Digital Asset Manager).

Please help. I don't understand if there is any step that I am missing.

Have you run the data dictionaru publich job? If you have then check that caches are cleared, and probably a restart of thw web app is required.

Also is the attribute configured to be shown?

Yes our data disctionary publish job runs regularly every 30 mins and I did run that manually too.

I did a restart of tomcat web server on which DAM and DA are installed.

Please let me know how can I clear the cache? Is it Tomcat's cache/temp/work directories?
