Owner display on TeamSite Screens

Can I change Teamsite so it display the common name instead of the user-id from Active Directory somehow in its UI?

We have goofy UID's here and you can't tell who really owns a task or who modified a file unless you can remember their user-id.

We have the same problem. This is not possible through the UITK or any type of customization. I haven't really dug too deep into this, but I have confirmed that this is not something that will be coming anytime soon. I suggest you file a Feature Request with Interwoven Support to make this a possibility.

Would it be acceptable to make the userid a link and when you click on the link, you get the user details including display name etc? We are thinking about implementing this in 6.7.1 and I was wondering if that would suffice.

Please do file a FR if there isn't already one and attach your customers to it for tracking purposes.

In 6.7.1 - TeamSite will look at the password file (on Unix) and use the information in the GCOS field to display user's names instead of userid's.

I believe it does something similar for Windows too - and this is, as I recall, straight out of the box.

If the full name information is missing (either OS) it will fallback to using the userid.

yeah TS 6.7.1 does the same on windows Smiley Happy

and it is OOTB.
