Excluding directories in reverse deployment
blacke
Hi,
I'm trying to configure a reverse deployment using an includePattern, but all the subdirectories of the source filesystem is being included (but not the subdirectory files). I have read that include and exclude patterns cannot be used together in the same deployment. How can I keep the subdirectories from being made? Here is the deployment:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?>
<deploymentConfiguration >
<localNode host="NYTMR3" timeout="" blockMaxWaitTime="1800" blockCheckInterval="30" />
<replicationFarmSet >
<replicationFarm name="myFarm" quorum="" >
<nodeRef useNode="NYTRTT1" />
</replicationFarm>
</replicationFarmSet>
<definition name="usr1" >
<reverseSource useReplicationFarm="" >
<sourceFilesystem area="/usr1/ip/deployment/pp" filelist="">
<pathSpecification >
<path name="." />
<filters>
<includePattern regex="^\./allowedIPs\.txt$"/>
</filters>
</pathSpecification>
</sourceFilesystem>
<replicationFarmLink >
<internal name="myFarm" />
</replicationFarmLink>
</reverseSource>
<reverseTarget >
<targetTeamsite applyExtAttrs="no" area="/iwmnt/default/main/IT/WORKAREA/work/pp/">
<pathSpecification >
<path name="." />
</pathSpecification>
</targetTeamsite>
<comparisonRules dateDifferent="yes" revert="no" ignoreAcls="yes" ignoreModes="no" ignoreUser="no" ignoreGroup="no" />
<transferRules doDeletes="no" dontDo="no" preserveAcls="no" followLinks="no" svrTryCount="" svrTryInterval="" svrTryDisableOverwrite="no" rmReadOnly="no" compression="no" compressionLevel="" applySourceFileTime="yes" />
</reverseTarget>
</definition>
<deployment transactional="no" >
<execDeploymentTask useDefinition="usr1" />
</deployment>
</deploymentConfiguration>
Thanks,
Eric

HI Eric...
we have an open feature request to be able to exclude subdirctories (FR # 39111) ... please contact tech support so you can be attached to the request.
Until then you may have to use a DNR approach to delete the unwanted empty directories on your target.
