Documentum method server timeout configurations in jboss..

Hello All,

I got following error while executing job on jobss method server on Unix...........

Method timeout (Exceeded the allowed duration of 3600 seconds) JAVA_METHOD_SERVER..

I do try for methods min_timeout=60 and max_timeout=600 configuration but its not working...

Is there any configuartion regarding documentum method server timeout configuration for JOB..

any help would be greatly appreciated.....

JBoss is not responsible for the timeout. Only the configuration of your job. Did it works when you change the timeout value?

Did you try to increase the max_timeout to 7200 or more ?

Is this system job or custom job? Do you know whether its actually taking that long to complete or whether its not sending complete event back to the server?

Hello,

This is the custom job which running with Jboss method server in Linux Environment...

I have modified the time limits for method it didnt work....

As per content length this job should run for more than 6 to 7 hrs...

Is there any configuration for jboss method server to run the job for such a long time.....

Is the code actually running for the entire 6 to 7 hrs or is there some built in sleep period? If the latter, then you should recode the job and let Content Server handle the sleep.

Also, does your server method extend IDfMethod or the IDmethod? The latter is newer/preferred way.

Yes, Problem related to timeout is resolved after setting max,default and min timeout value to job ...
