com.documentum.xforms.engine.adaptor.validator.IQueryResultValidator

Hello Experts,

Where can I download the class/jar/dar file wich contains the com.documentum.xforms.engine.adaptor.validator.IQueryResultValidator class file.

I am trying to create a custom validator in forms builder but as I select validators as adaptor type the class/sbo drop down list does not display anything, it is blank.Please let me know where I can find this file.

I got solution for this. the solution is Just type that class name in class dropdown box.

Have you tried reinstalling the Forms Builder dar?

Most of the xforms classes are part of Forms Builder.

Johnny no luck. I have reinstalled it and cleaned the cache restarted forms builder app server it does not work.

I think I know what you are referring to. Are you trying to create a new validator class or are you asking if there are any out of the box validators?

No I am not trying to create a new class but I am trying to make use of com.documentum.xforms.engine.adaptor.validator.IQueryResultValidator class which is mentioned in forms builder user guide.

Forms Builder 6.7 sp1. I am just trying to test the validator, I have to attach a validator in a registration form.

I have a application registration form from where users add some information about the organization/company which has sent the application. It works in this way, I have a custom type called s_oprofile (organization profile) with some attributes, such as s_oname,s_phone,s_email .....etc.The user who registers the application should choose the organization profile from the list if it's profile already there, and if not the they should create a new one.

But now I check the profile objects and I see that there are many organization profiles with the same s_oname.

I want to restrict this, the users should not be able to create many s_oprfile objects with the same s_oname.

Ok, your business case matches the description validator class. I dont have 6.7SP1 installed, so I cant verify why you dont see the class. Worst case scenario, you can write your own validator class. Is pretty simple and you have full control on whether field should validate or not.

Sometimes, I have run into limitations of what is provided out of the box and instead of beating my head against the wall, I take the proven approach - customization.
