how to enable only one work queue category to be visible to a user or processor of a work queue?

hi,

I have created a work queue policy (workq_policy) and a work queue category (workq_category) in taskspace 6.6.

In the taskspace category , i have created a work queue (workq_1) which is assigned to a particular role (pc_role).

I have also assigned a tab (queueTask_tab) of the type queue management to "pc_role" role, mapping that work queue (workq_1) to it.

I have used this work queue as performer in an activity in a process or workflow.

Now , when i start this workflow and the user belonging to the above role logs in into taskspace to view the tasks, he is able to see the

"queueTask_tab" tab.

When the user clicks on this tab, he does not not see any work queue.

He is able to see a template in which there are options such as "my categories".

On clicking this option he gets the option of selecting all the categories even he is not the part of the work queues present in those categories.

If we want that the user should see ony that category in which only the work queue being assigned to him should be visible , what is the method to do the same??

how can we make only those work queues visible for which he is the work queue processor.

Can we provide any type of permissions to it?

You need to build your own custom task list form first using Forms Builder. Then can create a new tab and associate this form to the tab.

hi johnny,

I have created a work queue tasklist template in form s builder and added it to the taskspace components.

I attached this work queue tasklist to the queue management type tab aasigned to a role.

when we manage the components added to a role in taskspace , there is a tab named workflow in it.

in this tab we provide mappings with the tasklist template, which are loaded along with the component.

So i had mapped the work queue tasklist that i created with the tab.

Still it's showing me the same screen where i am able to select any category and hence any work queue.

Do i have to select any other tab type??

here is the screen shot of the tab named " Dc queue task" . this tab is of type queue management.

In the centre you would see a link of my categories.

When you click it , a window pops up and you get option to select any category.

how can we just show only his category and the queues asscoiated with him only?

This the tab of the type queue management associated with the dc role. When we open this tab we see work queue monitor drop down list. We can add categories to this list my clicking on my categories.

When we select a category, then on right side corner there’s a list having two options : my work queues (default) and all wok queues.

The work queue is visible here only when we select all work queues.

On clicking on the work queue we see the task inside the queue.

In the above screen shot you can see three tasks. When we select one task and we click on it we see the following screen:

We don’t see the work queue task list template that we created for this role and mapped as shown in the screen below:

Please list the roles that this user belongs to - my first guess is that the user is in a role that has higher privileges than what you want.

the user is in dc role and this role is in queue_processor role.

Also queue_manager is also in queue_processor and queue_admin in queue_manager.
