You do not have to affiliated to any company to take the exam.

You can get the free Documentum Developer Edition in the . That's also the place to go if you have any product-related questions.
Is this restricted version?
There are some "oddities" in Developer Edition that are not there if you were install the individual products. Note that the Developer Edition is single install of various products, where as for Production environment, you would install the individual products.
I would use the Developer Edition to validate what you learn in the reading material. All questions have references to reading material in case any one ever tries to challenge the validity of the answer to the question.
Do you successfully pass the E20-120 exams, now ?
