Get and Set values for Items that are dynamic

Hi,

I am Using Teamsite 6.5

I have two items called name and age that is inside a container "parent".The Container "parent" should have a minimum of one and max is unbounded.Using my javascript i have to get the values of the name and age.Usually if it is only one i will use

IWDatacapture.getItem("/aboutus/menu/parent/name").getValue()&amp;amp;lt;br&amp;amp;gt;IWDatacapture.getItem("/aboutus/menu/parent/age").getValue()&amp;amp;lt;br&amp;amp;gt;

to get the values of name and age.In the case of multiple items with the same name how to get the values and set the values.
Kindly advise

Try

var TEST=IWDatacapture.getItem("/aboutus/menu/parent["+ i +"]/name");
And I see that is what batasari has also suggested previoulsy

For what you are trying to do,
This will only get the item and not its value,
so, you will need to do
var msg = TEST.getValue();
alert(msg);
