what is locked in workitem?

hi all.in r_exec_os_error column of dmi_workitem there is a sentence like :"DM_SYSOBJECT_E_LOCKED error:The operation on ef_tmnttur712ba410 sysobject was unsuccesful because it is locked by user Ramazan Daghan"

i have 2 questions:

1-what is the thing that is locked?

2-how can i access this locked thing inside the java?(i can get workitem and workflow on java side)

There is no direct method as such. But yes you can use getAttachments()/getAllPackages of IDfWorkitem to fetch all attachments. And from the retrieved collection you can get r_component_id, by using which u can fetch th object sysobject and check if it is locked by using isCheckedOut() method.

Something like this:

IDfCollection objColPackages = objWorkItem.getAllPackages(null);

//You have to iterate through this collection "objColPackages"

packageId = objColPackages.getId("r_component_id"); this .packageObject = (IDfSysObject) this.session.getObject(packageId);Let me know your requirement our sample of code snippet

Hi,

This is bcoz the workitem is trying to access/update/change any locked object in the repository. Locked may be because it could be checked out by user "Ramazan Daghan".

In your case locked object is "ef_tmnttur712ba410"

In your java code you can use the DFC to unlock the sysobject by calling

cancelCheckout() on sysobject [sysObject.cancelCheckout()].

you can see the locked item by using the DQL...

select * from dm_sysobject(all) where r_lock_owner='Ramazan Daghan'

thank you for the reply.the complete name of the sys_object is : ef_tmnttur712ba410a74-5719-43be-9e58-2d45b3e0ad7d1321608918159. in order to retrieve the object i must figure out what thesse numbers are.do you have any idea what these numbers are?

Hi,

As I feel this is some object your workflow is creating based on some ID (session, trackId etc). These numbers have nothing to relate with anything.

You can try to unlock the objects being locked by the user "Ramazan Daghan". You can also use API command to unlock as follows.

Get the r_object_id for the sysobjects being locked by executing the DQL. [select r_object_id from dm_sysobject(all) where r_lock_owner='Ramazan Daghan']
Unlock the object by API. [unlock,c, <object_id>] for all object ids..

hi.i can not find the r_object_id of the sys_object.i have no clue about it.there is no no information about it.

Probably you are trying to update the sysobject which has already been locked.

Is your activity (workitem which failed) written in java? If yes, then before updating any sysobject (or its subtype) you can check if it is already locked by anyone using object.isCheckedOut() mthod.

what about getting the locked sys_object inside java?i mean is there any method of IDfWorkflow or IDfWorkitem which we can get the locked object.for instance there is an instance getAttachments method.probably the method isn not this but is there any methhod you know?
