Strange Error with Import Component in Webtop

Hello,

I'm getting below error when I click next on the import component.

I also observed that, the Previous button is enabled on launch of import component.

Is there any issue with my webtop?

I've created a new custom type and configured its display setting to show 2 custom attributes on Info page.

Is it some way related, please suggest.

I haven’t customized anything, but the webtop is already customized for some other functionality apart from Import component.

what i meant was, did you customize anything for import document other than configuring system to display custom attributes ?

can you please confirm following also:

a. how did you configure to display custom attributes on import ?

if this configuration is done by Composer, can you try import with OTB webtop for both custom type and dm_document ?

b. do you face similar issue on import for dm_document while doing import from custom application or is it only for custom type ?

please find answers to your questions:

a. Yes done by composer, I added my custom attributes in the "Attributes in Display Configuation" on the display tab in composer. Below image is what I've done.

My default webtop is also showing same error and also shows previous button enabled.

b. I haven't reached the select object type screen, on click of next I get the error.

Its strange.

so you are getting same problem in OTB webtop also for your custom type. is it working fine for dm_document ?

I'm unable to reach the select object type screen, the error occurs before it.

hence I'm unable to test for dm_document also. I also checked this with my other repository and it also has same issue.

can you try with Webtop/DA installed on any other machine and import from that system only.

also try after clean up documentum cache, java applet cache (by going to the Java Control Panel) and see if any java script error is coming or any warning message from applet

Have you run the data dictionary publishing job and restarted the app server once the job has completed? This needs to be done everytime you make changes to object types.
