Writeable Document Folders

I'm trying to get a list of folders for any given workspace, but I want to be able to determine whether a given user has write permissions for each folder. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Item Interface is the base interface of all containable data objects. It has method like

DoesLoffedOnUserHaveFullControl()
getIsLoggedOnUserOwner_b()
getIsSecurityPolicyInherited()

You could explore more for your requirement.
