Taskspace --> Importer --> Import Folder(subfolders and all Docs)

Hi,

we try to design a new Taskspace Application for Our Users. For this Application we have to add an Import Button with special Functions.
The User should Only bush the button (Import ..) and have to select a folder on his Workstation or somewhere else, at the next screen he have only to but in the metadata and click finish.

This works only with Documents but I can’t Select an folder! Why?

I can import the folder by the default Import Procedure but there the User have to select the document Type by himself, and this is what we need to change by generate our own Import action.

Please can someone help me.

You can get this behavior by using the old WDK import action. You just need to create a custom action that extends import action and add it to list of actions available for your tab.

Thanks, but how can i use an old WDK in the version we have installed? we have version 6.7.

Sorry for the confusion. What I meant was use WDK import action (old way to import) vs Taskspace Importer component (new way to import).

No. You need to use display configuration in Composer to define which attributes to see.

Sorry, now i think we talk from two different things now. The reason for using the template is, we would that the user can only import one Folder Type (not dm_folder) and one Document Type (not dm_document). He should can Import an Completed Foldertree by using a customized Importer where behind an Metadata Template that gives him the right Folder Types! (in our Application is this os_doc_acpo(For Documents) and os_folder_acpo(For Folders)).

He Should: Bush the Button (IMPORT AIRCRAFT FOLDER) --> Window Pop Up --> Here bush (ADD FOLDER) --> Window Pop UP --> There select the Folder(Folder with Documents and Subfolders) Bush OK--> Window Close --> Bush NEXT --> Metadata Template for Folder Opens --> User but in the Metadata for the Folder and Bush FINISH--> Metadata Template for Documents Opens --> User but in the Metadate for the Documents und Bush FINISH --> Import Completed

I see it. You are already using WDK Import as I suggested. You can extend NewFolder component and set the object type in jsp (if its fixed) or in the component class (if the type is dependent on other business logic).

We have nothing customized in the Code or Scripted. Is only a Default Taskspace application. Where can i Change this setting in an Default Taskspace Application?

Ok, so if you are using just OOTB features, then like I said in my original reply, you need to create custom tasksapce action that calls WDK import action (look under Configuring Actions in Taskspace Configuration manual). The WDK import action can be extended using the WDK customization methodology.
