We use Teamsite v5.52. We make use of worklfows for compliance approval of content before publishing. Once a user submits content to compliance for approval it is removed from their To Do list. We've had a request to add a facility to display a "Record of Work" - to show a user a list of their pending work i.e work that has been sent for approval but not yet completed or deployed.

Has anyone else got such a thing - is it possible to create a list of "pending" work?

Yes, it is possible.

I could think of a few ways. One is something what Interwoven has been offering as a consulting engagement - TeamSite+, that had a workflow reporting tool. It was restricted to masters/administrators, but could definitely be offered to authors. You might want to contact IWOV, however I doubt that anything for 5.5.2 is being offered at the moment. However, if you are able to get hold of the code, you could have a good start

Or, the road is open to build a custom CGI that would analyse workflows that are in the system and display those that are for particular users.

however, it's not the easiest thing to do
