Hi,

For migrating my data from development to production have used the following method:

I have made a copy of content store and have configured it on my production server.

During this process the files have lost their ownership rights and are unaccessible. They have become read only and cannot be modified or accessed, both from teamsite and from Y: drive as well.

Please help guys.

Hi Abhishek,
if you copy the store from dev to prod server, you should check, if there're server local groups used for managing the access rights within the workareas.
If so, you have to do some work after copying the store: the command line tool iwodmap should solve your access problems, check clt documentation.
Additionally think about using domain local groups for access management, if you want to transfer stores from one server to another.
Also you should check, if it is neccary to transfer the whole store. Perhaps a filecopy from one server to the other for each workarea
is enough (incl. extended attributes)...

I tried coping the files, but in that case the dcr are loosing the file association as the EA are not getting transfered.

You need to use the CLT iwextattr -s recirsively on all your files

Also, if you want to copy the entire store's contents , you should be better off copying the iw-store directory itself

you get some more information if you search the forums for "iwextattr".

Do you have an OD6.0.2 installation?
OD is also be able to transfer files and attached extended attributes from one server to another.
