IdfMethod Implementation

HI There,

I am implementing IDFMethod to create a java method. How ever when I try to fetch the "ticket" from parameter map it simple does not have any key called "Ticket" can some one please tell me how do I create a session without having the ticket parameter.

If this Java class will be used as workflow automatic method, then you will get parameter as "ticket" (not "Ticket") in map.

In that case you suggest to use IDmMethod rather than to use IDfMethod? to run the java method as a job.

can you please explain/confirm your requirement of using custom method as workflow automatic method or to be used as Job ?

Yeah the method has to be used for a job, and the job has been configured to pass standard arguments but argument doesn't have "ticket" parameter and I am unable to create session.

the parameter "ticket" is passed only when method is executed as workflow automatic method.

in your case, since you need to execute the custom method as Job, you should be getting docbase owner's user name as standard argument. Since server method executes on java method server you do not need password for creating session for docbase owner, and since docbase owner is nomally super user you can use IDfSession.getLoginTicketEx() or IDfSession.getLoginTicketForUser() to obtain session for any user (using docbase owner's session)

a) Did you think to write a piece of code to loop the items in the map and print out the arguments you actually get rather than what you think you get?
