OD 6.0.2 iwodcmd fails

We are moving our workflow application from 6.1 to 6.5 based TS server.

The migration includes upgrade of OD/DD 5.6 to a latest OD 6.0.2

Legacy DD 5.6 iwdd.ipl was replaced, as suggested here:

with:
/opt/Interwoven/OpenDeployNG/bin/iwodcmd start irc_dd -k iwdd=irc_product -k "dcr_to_deploy=/templatedata/CCMC/product/data/bo-t23~0500100540" 2>&1

However, the dataDeploy hangs and returns the error:

You need to find the DD log files - which are located in IWODHOME/log -- that will hopefully provide sufficient information to figure out what's going wrong, and if lucky, how to fix it.

Our initial test, this morning ~ 9AM, failed. It migh have left that deployment in the running mode which consequently hanged the irc_dd deployment.

I just restarted OD (iwodcmd serverreset) - it didn't clear this possible 'hanging' conditions.

Any other ideas?

serverreset doesn't [always?] do what you want here - you need to actually re-start the server - so use:

/etc/init.d/iwod60 restart

instead - you can verify if there is a hung deployment by using:

iwodcmd serverstatus

Also - what you may want to do is add a unique

-inst instname

paramater to your list of command line parameters for the iwodcmd that you are using to fire off the deployment. This way, even if one attempt fails, a second one can be tried and will be considered a unique deployment.

According to:
iwodcmd serverstatus
OpenDeploy server is alive.
0 deployments are currently active.
nothing is hanging. Something else is causing this behaviour. I'll continue to analyze other OD logs.

This is strange:
It looks that I am not able to stop OD server at all (/etc/init.d/iwod60 stop). Important to note, this OD 6.0.2 installation is a fresh install (done by our system admin). It could easily be not properly and fully configured.
