TS 6.1 - performance tuning

We are looking at TeamSite 6.1 performance issue. Things don't look good (browsing within branches, loading DCTs, creating/saving new DCRs, etc.).

This article about performance tunning of TS looks interesting, however, it is referencing old versions:

For TS performance you can refer to the folowing two articles.
I applied mod_expires and it improved performance on our TS6.1 solaris systems but for remote clients it didnt make much difference.

Vary header IE issue:

Specifying the "vary" header option can result in some chaching issues in certain IE versions. This articles describes what to do to avoid this from happening.

Another thing, are you using event subsystem. If NO then I would suggest you to turn it off. This can improve the things.

Another reason I can think is the size of DCRs. Large DCR is likely to be suffering from a known IE Javascript performance issue.
FormsPublisher assembles the content of the page on the fly using Javascript. This is some Microsoft IE deficiency while concatinating large strings.

To verify this you should check what happens when FormsPublisher shows the DCR. CPU usuage should increase to very high. If possible you should test the DCR from a machine which has both IE and Netscape/Mozilla installed. With Mozilla page should be presented quickly.
