How can any performer reject a workitem to Workflow Manager?

Hi,

I have a the following requirement in a workflow:

Workflow Manager starts my workflow. The workitem goes to the 1st activity and then progresses to the subsequent activities. My requirement it that when ever any performer rejects, the workitem MUST go to the Workflow Manager. How can I achieve this functionality? If I see Workflow Manager activity, I can reject to it, but I do not see it in the workflow.

Please share your knowledge and experience.

Workflow manager is the workflow supervisor/initiator. I dont remember if WFM has this option as performer. If so, just create reject flow for all your activities that goes to workflow manager activities whose performer is the workflow supervisor.

My requirement is that all the performers in my workflow must be able to reject the workitem directly to the Workflow Supervisor/Initiator. I need to achive this functionality. How can I get it? Using WFM, if it is not possible, I think I can do this by creating a new activity in the REJECTION PATH with Workflow Supervisor/Initiator as the performer. I think this will resolve my issue.

I could resolve my issue by adding one more auto-activity between Workflow Supervisor/Initiator and 1st performer.

Do you think most of my issues will be resolved (including this issue too) if I use Process Builder instead of using WFM?

Please advise me.
