Is there a command line import tool?!?!?
Stu_McHugh
I am aware there is a import tool for the server but I want to automate the process and get the server to pole the network share every 10 mins and import the documents that exist.
If i can find a command line tool then I can just schedule it and problem over! Anyone know of one or switches for the import GUI?
Cheers

I don't believe there are any. If there were, I imagine OpenDeploy's sales would go down somewhat so IW probably doesn't have any reason for implementing this.
That being said, have you considered using OpenDeploy to accomplish this?

You may also write your own via the WorkSite iToolkit.

What is the WorkSite iToolkit? If that a free download on the support site?

It's a development tool kit that is required to be purchased.

We have a tool that will continuously poll network shares and import content called iImport:

You can download a fully functioning version from our web site. We will be adding a number of features to this product in the coming weeks, although it is already very powerful, with the ability to pull document data from external data sources, convert files to encrypted PDF, and more.

This new version has many new enhancements, including the ability to convert Hummingbird encrypted (Standard, Enhanced, or UNIX-compatible) file names to document number/version/subversion information, branching workflow, ODBC read and write capabilities to track import data and set profile values, and the ability to import files as versions of existing files, based on different criteria.

Unfortunatly I'm not in any position to spend any money.
Has anyone else any idea of how to import documents in to Imange automatically?
