Customizing Import Document component of webtop

Hi Experts,

We have following requirement while importing a document :

1) Should be able to set the custom attributes.

2) And the custom attributes should be set in centera.

We tried using a TBO but some how the attributes are not getting set in centera.

So now we are trying with webtop customization.

Can anyone please suggest how to go about this , since I am quite new to this.

If you are trying to do this as webtop customization, all you are really doing is showing/setting the value in UI. When you complete the import action, Webtop takes the UI value and sets it on the object created.

I'm not sure if the problems you are having with Centera will be resolved, since TBO is doing the same thing but with the UI.

Here we are trying to set the attributes in centera while importing the file from webtop ....using the same code that is working fine in a customized DFC application used for uploading files to centera.

Can you please help us with the classes that should be customised.

From the forums I guess Custom Import Container Java class : public void onOk(Control button, ArgumentList args).

Please suggest.....

Following is the code used to set attributes in centera while uploading documents.

The attributes are read from an excel sheet.

First thing I noticed is that you are extending doSave using:

protected synchronized void

Normally its just "public void"

Secondly, the code you posted for DFC is entirely different from your TBO code. I suggest you do DFC trace for your DFC code so that you can get the exact api calls that are made and then reproduce that in your TBO.
