Current Environment: TS 6.5 SP2 - Solaris
We've recently (a couple of months ago) upgraded to TS 6.5 SP2. After we upgraded we noticed some pretty bad performance problems opening up some of our larger DCRs in the templates using IE. We've discovered it to perform much better in Firefox, Mozilla, and Netscape. Of those three, only Mozilla 1.6, is officially supported by Interwoven. We've have an open issue with support on this, but doesn't seem to be going anywhere fast. In the mean time our users have been using a few of these non-IE browser to get by. The main issue with these browsers it the Visual Format Editor only works in IE. Are there any alternatives to this so it would work in other browsers? Someone brought this to my attention:
http://www.fckeditor.net/ (Don't be alarmed by the url, it's legit) It seems to be very similar to VFE, but is an open source app that claims to work in a number of different browsers.
