RPSA in TBO.onObjectRetained()

I want to implement the 'onObjectRetained()' method in the TBO of a custom type. (f.e. request a PDF/A rendition after a retention policy is attached).

Is this possible with this method? My code is not executed. (public void onObjectRetained() throws DfException { ... })

Is there another way to implement this?

In my TBO I added following code. The object is retained without any problem. My TBO is working fine for other methods (doSave, doLink, ..). I have no error messages, the code in 'onObjectRetained' is not executed. In DFC API docs, this methods is only known for the class IDfSysObjectRetention. I'm not sure this is the correct place to implement this methods.

How you are testing your TBO code. How you are making sure that onObjectRetained() method is called.

what operation you are performing in DA/Webtop to test this.

I've deployed the code using composer. The onObjectRetained() method is normally called by the BOF framework (like doSave().. )

I'm using RPSA to perform this operation.

Are you trying to extend onObjectRetained method in your TBO? If so, this method is NOT listed in methods that you can override in your TBO (per DFC Development Guide).

I was hoping it would work. But apparently this is not the case .

Any idea if there are some retiontion methods that I can use?

There is RPS api that you can include in your code. You can make calls to these methods, you just cant extend them from your TBO.
