When Advanced Search is launched in Webtop, all of the document types are listed in the drop down,except dm_document. It is hiddent, Do you know which XML file I have to edit to unhide the dm_document type?

OTB webtop does list dm_document in "Object Type" drop down list on advanced search screen. Infact it is default selected. please see if this already customized in your application.

this is configured using <includetypes> configuration in 'advsearch' component and following is the configuration in OTB webtop:

<includetypes descend="true">dm_sysobject</includetypes>

so it lists all the subtypes of dm_sysobject including dm_sysobject also.
