What happens to a task acquired by a user and them user leaves his/her job?

Hi,

Workflow supervisor starts a workflow and the task goes from one performer to another. After a performer acquires a task, if he/she leaves his/her job suddenly, what happens to that task? Can the Workflow supervisor reassign the task to some body may be anther user in the a group assuming the activity performer is "Single User from a Group". What are other options in this scenario?

Please share your knowledge and experiences for figuring this out.

Once the task is “acquired”, its now w that user. Perhaps it would pass your auditors if a sysadmin took over the activity and then “delegated” it. It would show a history of that. You just need to make sure that activity was setup with delegation ability. Best of luck. DCTM doesn’t directly have what you need. You may be able to write a utility of some sort, but that too may be violation of the audit.

1. Rename the user

2. Set the user name’s password to inline

3. Login as the user, setup “I am available” proxy to someone else

In the meantime, if needed, update the activity performer to a role for new workflows

I got it what you say. It is a good idea, but I think audit may question this. To avoid any queries from audit, I think either Installation owner or workflow suprvisor must be able to delegate the task or do something.
