How can I capture the current running dmi_workflow and update an attribute value of the current vers

Hi,

I need to write a workflow method which will update an attribute value of the package attached after forwarding the task to the next task. My question is "How can I capture the current running workflow's r_workflow_id by which I can get r_component_id of the dmi_package?".  I know I can get r_workflow_id from dmi_workflow, but how can I capture the  current running dmi_workflow and I need to update an attribute value of the current version of the captured package. I hope I made my question clear.

Please share your knowledge and experience.

If you are using Workflow  Manager, then you will need to write your own custom server method to do this.

If you are using Process Builder, then you can use process data mapper activity and do this with just configuration.
