How can I map a variable in Process Builder email template?

Hi,

I have a variable 'nnn' in my email template Subject as well as Body as '$nnn'. Shown below:

In Subject Template:

New ECR Project - ECR # $nnn is pending your approval

In Body Template:

New ECR Project - ECR # $nnn is pending your approval. Please click the following link to view this ECR and note your approval. Please direct any questions to the ECR originator, as indicated on the actual ECR.

How can I map my variable 'nnn'? nnn is the value of an attribute of my custom document attached to my workflow.

The message is coming as it is with From address/name="none". I did not do mapping. I am trying to figure it out. I am reading Process Builder Developer and User guides. If you can advise me if anything I need to refer.

Are you doing this in the notification tab of the activity? If so, click on the Next button and it will take you to the data mapper screen.

If you want better materials, I suggest you take the EMC training for Process builder.

I understand what you say, but I am not sure my company sponsors for EMC training. I need to find out, but before that can I get some more info on data mapper. I see 'data mapper screen', but it is not clear for me. I am looking some some documentation on this or some tutorial. If you have, please give me info.

Data mapper is used throughout Process Builder. If you dont understand how to use it, you wont be able to use Process Builder to its fullest capabilities.

So it looks the Process Builder is not good to achieve what I want to. I think I need to go back to Workflow methods like updating dm_event_sender.ebs, wrting custom email method etc.

It does what you want - you just dont know how to do it. I feel sorry for you that your company expects you to develop using new technology and wont send you to training.
