Need help in moving the "Approved" document from one folder to another automatically?

Hi,

In the workflow I am designing a document will be approved finally. Once approved by the last performer in the workflow I need to move the approved document into a specific folder. To automate this I think I need to write a TBO. Do you any other ideas other than TBO? How can I implement this?

My document will have several versions. I am planning to move all versions into a specific folder even though the last (current) version will have approved state.

Please share your knowledge and experience.

Yes you can do this using a TBO and just execute a UPDATE dql.

Alternatively, if you are using Process Builder, you can use the Link Folder activity.

I presume "Approved" is a lifecycle state, so if you just want to move the document version which is promoted to "Approved" state, you can use the "Move all links to location" action defined for "Approved" state in lifecycle itself.

I think TBO will be the best option..in TBO Onpromote you can check the state of the Document if it is 'Approved' you can move document according to your requirements. Hope this will help.
