ClassFormatError
yuvpurush
Hi,
The below program compiles fine in JRE 1.4.2_05.
*********************************************************************
import com.imanage.cms.api.workteam.*;
import com.imanage.cms.exceptions.workteam.*;
public class Sample
{
public static void main(String args[])
{
try
{
SessionManager manager = SessionManager.getInstance ();
SimpleSession session = manager.createSimpleSession("user1", "A-1111");
session.logon ("admin", "admin");
session.ping ();
session.logoff ();
}
catch (WorkteamException we)
{
we.printStackTrace ();
}
catch (Exception e)
{
System.out.println("Exception is: "+e.toString());
e.printStackTrace();
}
}
}
****************************************************************
But while running i get the following error.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ClassFormatError: com/imanage/cms/fc/io/ImFileOutputStream (Invalid start_pc/length in local var table)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass0(Native Method)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:539)
at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:12
....
....
------------------------------------------------------------
Any Idea What could be the problem.
Immediate help is very much appreciated.

are you using the same version java where you run the program and where you compiled it?

Yes.
Where can i get the latest version of iManMP.zip, which contains all the WOM classes. Does anobody has iManMP.zip class, whcih is working fine.

All the files are in the SDK download/CD you got from Interwoven. There's a jar file you need to install into Tomcat when you setup your SDK environemnt. Womsdk.jar I think but I don't have the latest sdk kit in front of me right now.

I've also encountered this problem in these day and found that there could be some problems in iManMp.zip (which is downloaded from support web site).
Instead of iManMp.zip, I used those jar files under web component and my sample programs work fine now.
Those jar files are k3.jar, jdom.jar, log4j.jar, bcprov-jdk14-119.jar in $web_component_home\tomcat4.1.30\webapps\worksitemp\WEB-INF\lib.
Hope it helps!!

Hi,
By any chance, are you trying to execute a JRE 1.4.2 compiled class with WOMCOM SDK which is JDK 1.1?
