Making prev activity's performer to be the performer of (next) autoactivity is causing an issue of s

Hi,

In my workflow I need to make an auto activity performer to be "Pervious activity's performer" and did the same, but it is showing wrong performer for the next activity's performer. Please see the attachment.

The user 'forecasting' can send the task (Approver-Forecasting) to his same group "fotl_approver_forcasting_grp" or to the next group "fotl_approver_purchasing_grp" whose task name is Approver-Purchasing whose next performer is showing as forecasting which is wrong. It is due to my set up as mentioned above, but I need to do this get previous activity's performer name in the current activity. Hope I made my issue clear. If not please let me know.

How can I resolve this issue?

Please share your knowledge and experiences for figuring this out.

As you said, this is result of how we address your previous requirement. Does your user really care who the next performer is? If so, then you will need to customize the jsp to show the right value.

BTW - I dont particularly like the default UI that is displayed for a user to choose next activity. So what I do sometimes is define an attribute on package that basically lets the user "select the next activity". The "real" next activitiy is split acitivity that reads the value on the package and then decide where the package goes.

I am sorry Johnny, I did not understand your question clearly. I did setup of an autoactivity (between the current manual activityand next manual activity) performer to be previous activity's performer. Thats all I did. I did not set set up any next activity's performer.

I'm asking how are you determining next activity performer is incorrect. BTW - there's no attachment to your original post.

Yes this is the result of how you addressed my previous requirement, but we need that. To fix this issue I think I have two options:

1) As you mentioned, to customize the jsp to show the right value.

2) To hide the Next performer column itself.
