how to read and update xml files from my local machine to the repository??

I have extracted metadata for number of objects in xml format and stored it in a folder in my local machine..now i need to read and update each file using xml parser and need to upload to the other repository..Can u pls suggest me some sample code or guidelines such that i can make use of it...

You can use XML parser like SAXPARSER  to read the xml file...or if you don't have any idea you can write properties to simple text file ..

Or you can use Dump and Load

Or you can use Buldoser tool to migrate document from one repository to another repository.
