We have a requirement for having a contact us page on the site, which takes some data from the client, validates the data and if invalid show the exception to the user. Once the user have entered all the required data the mail is send.

The above requirements needs us to capture the data entered by the end user in the request, show error if all datanot filled and then send the email. I can do the above using the servlets/strust but unsure how would i do this if i am using the formpublisher(tpl). Any help or leads are welcome

The user is completing an HTML form not a DCT, right? So, in your DCT, you collect whatever information you need to generate the dynamic page and have your presentation template output a JSP which takes care of the rest. Perhaps this page doesn't even require a DCT.

I think I need a better picture of your requirements.

well, it *might* need a DCT.. especially to control the look/feel, etc.

but in general I agree.. I did not see much of repetetive content here to warrant a separate DCT. I would do it as a, say, generic content page, while pasting some code into a field.... nah... after second thought.. probably would not
