Hello Guys,
Just a short question about the sizing spreadsheet of the Content Server. Do you use it ? Does it answer your needs and answer your performance requirements ?
No one use it ?
We've used it a couple of times, but more as an orientation for bids than for actual architecture. I think the results from the spreedsheet are aimed for an "optimal" architechture, which for very big deployments is fine, but for small/medium it could be oversized...
Hello Julien.
I use it quite often. It is good however some things must be improved, these are some of them:
1. A quick reference or better comments in the fields to better guide users when inputting data, such as the custom attribute size;
2. After the CPU output was split into cores it became a little dificult to interpret the actual CPU * cores requirements sometimes being worse when dealing with multi processor machines. I recommend improving this or writing comments on how to properly interpret them;
3. Memory for WDK applications seens too little for small deployments and some additional comments would greatly help their interpretation.
Also, I miss a platform sizing guide and believe it would really help, including some not so often used components. It could also serve as a guide to the sizing spreadsheet.
Regards,
Roney
