Regenerating Multiple Pages Leads to Rogue iwperl.

I have written a tpl which uses a combination of iw tags and iw_perl. The template loads two additional DCR's during regen and passes parameters to at least 3 other component tpl's which also load the same DCR's that the primary PT loads.

When I regenerate more than one file that uses this tpl using the Teamsite GUI of 5.5.2 the regeneration hangs and iwperl.exe and IW_CGI~1.CGI processes are kicked up and never quit. Also the regen window never comes back and confirms that regeneration has occured. Also only one of the multiple files regenerated will be regenerated. This issue does not happen when I regenerate only one file at a time?

How can I start to troubleshoot this problem?

well without seeing any of your code it sounds like an infinite loop problem with your perl code. I'd probably take a look there first and add debugging code to it to help pinpoint your problem.

OK I've found it. Each of my Primary PT's has the following subroutine which searches through a DCR containing four levels of nested replicants. The routine searches for a match to a number that it is passed as an argument to the subroutine. When a match is found an index of where the match was found in returned. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 etc.....for each of the 4 index values.

From there I pass the values as arguments to component templates

I know that this is adding to the problem because when I just hard code the indexes it works fine.

i'm still having the issue. I can only regenerate a maximum of 3 pages at once?

I've tried using the DCR stack using dcr[1] syntax instead of loading the same DCR's from the primary and component PTS that seems to have helped but I cant regenerate more than 4 pages at once. Its there a limit to how many components I can use and how many dcr's I can load?

Seems like the more code I add to these PT's the more this issue presents itself. I've recently added more code and this issue is back. The problem is that the templates work as expected if I regenerate 1 file at a time. Its regenerating multiple files from the GUI that causes an issue.

Has anyone had this problem with Teamsite before?
