eWebEditPro error
sandy_893
Hi,
We are getting an javascript error due to which they are unable to edit the dct's. The error they get is "ewebeditpro is null or not an object" (attaching a screen shot). This error is not being faced by all of are users but only by the users who sit at a different site. Due to this i think this might be a proxy issue but i am not sure about this. If some one has any idea y this is happening, let me know.

We are getting exact same javascript error in few of our client PCs. Did you figure out what's causing this?
Thanks,

Hi Prashanth,
do you have the possibility to change your IE security level?
Try to change the security level to a very low level for your specific web zone.
Perhaps you can figure out, if it is a browser problem or something else...

I've seen something very similar when a <form> tag has been entered in the DCR. This is a known bug with VF. "Edit With..." the DCR, check for form tags, and remove them. It might not be this, but it's worth checking.
If not, is this error happening for every DCR, for every DCR of a certain type, or just a few DCRs?

We resolved this one.
Check this KB article from ektron
http://www.ektron.com/developers/ewebeditprokb.cfm?id=2491
We modified our ewebeditprodefaults.js as suggested in this article and that resolved the problem. In our case I think it happened due to a firewall upgrade at client location.
Thanks for your response.
